On 15 January 2009, Bang & Olufsen, a Danish producer of electronic audio and video equipment, announced that it is to cut 220 jobs worldwide (out of which 110 at the headquarters in Skjern, Denmark). The management explains that the current economic crisis and a lower level of activity have forced the company to restructure.
