Description
Burberry, a manufacturer of luxury clothing and accessories, is to cut 290 jobs in South and West Yorkshire. 170 jobs will be lost at its Rotherham plant following the company's decision to shut it down, while the rest will be lostĀ from its sites in Castleford and Keighley. The cuts were blamed on falling demand. As of 20 January 2009 there is no information on when the job losses will occur.
