Description

Canon, which manufactures optical instruments and photographic equipment, has announced that it will cut 226 jobs in Amstelveen. Canon is to concentrate all strategic functions in London, and so the jobs will be relocated to that city. Employees can retain their jobs if they opt to move to London. The remaining 500 jobs in Amstelveen are unaffected, nor are the 451 jobs at the head office in nearby Hoofddorp.
