European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Incap Furniture, which manufactures solid pine furniture has filed for bankruptcy, and all 300 employees will lose their jobs in Finland.
Incap Furniture has production units in Kärsämäki, Haapavesi and Varpaisjärvi, with its headquarters located in the city of Oulu. All units will be closed by the end of April 2009. The closure of the units are mainly due to the company's biggest customer IKEA's announcement to put orders on hold due to the economic situation on the markets.
