European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Alexander Dennis, a manufacturer of bus and coach vehicles, is to cut 150 jobs from its Scottish sites. The cuts were announced despite increases in company turnover from £200m to £300m. The company stated that it will enter into consultation with trade unions and employees in order to 'minimise the impacts of the redundancies'. As of 22 March 2009 there is no information on when the job losses will occur.
