European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
NCC Construction Norge, part of the Swedish-based construction and property development group NCC, announced on 26th of March a downsizing of 200 employees. Both blue collar and white collar workers will be affected. The manager stated in the press release that this decision was necessary in view of the existing market situation. The chief shop steward said to Magasinet that there will be a mixture of layoffs and early retirements. The exact form of the measures and their time table will be discussed between the management and unions.
