European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Labod from Novo Mesto in the Jugovzhodna Slovenija region is a producer of men and women clothes, including shirts and underwear, which employs 190 workers. Due to reduced orders and sales, the company faces severe problems; the loss in 2008 amounted to EUR 0.6 million, while the accumulated loss is EUR 1.8 million. As a consequence, the management and the owners have launched a liquidation procedure. The result will be a liquidation of the existing and creation of two new companies. 70 to 100 employees will lose thier jobs.
