European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Truck hydraulic equipment manufacturer Danfoss is to cut 330 jobs at its plant in Nordborg in a new round of dismissals. Around 270 production employees in Nordborg and around 60 administrative employees will be made redundant according to the announcement by the management of the company on 17th March 2009. This is the third time that the company has cut its workforce since December 2008: the reason for the new round of lay-offs is a dramatic fall in most of the markets of Sauer-Danfoss in the 4th quarter of 2008.
