The Tom Hogan Motors, the Toyota car dealership, is to close, resulting in 190 redundancies. The car dealership has been experiencing serious trading difficulties, which forced it to go into liquidation. The car dealership had outlets in Galway, Clare and Tipperary, and was one of the largest Toyota dealerships in the country. Ireland's serious economic recession has a had a knock-on effect on car sales.
