Description
The British Bank Lloyds is to cut another 2,100 jobs across the UK as a result of the merger with HBOS late in 2008. 700 of the cuts will be implemented by 'natural atrittion''. 150 jobs will be lost in West Yorkshire, 100 in Birmingham, and 350 across Scotland. The bank is to cut 170 managerial posts and to close five commercial service centres and two call centres. The job losses will be implemented within the next three years.
The jobcuts are the latest of Lloyds' cutbacks (see also factsheets 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5).
