Description
Valkarton from Logatec in Osrednjeslovenska region, owned by Croatian company Belišće, is a producer of corrugated cardboard and packaging products thereoff. In the first half of 2009, Valkarton registered a 30% decrease of its turnover due to declining orders from main customers, i.e. manufacturers of car components and household appliances. As a result, the company reduced the number of its employees from 660 in December 2008 to 495 at present, and will further reduce emplyment to 470 by the end of 2009.
