European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Strathaird Salmon, a fish processor, has confirmed it will close its factory in Inverness on Friday. Twenty two staff have decided to relocate to other factories while 304 took redundancy. Production will be moved from Inverness to Grimsby and Fraserburgh. The company announced that it would have been able to absorb the jobs within other factories, but recognised that it staff may not be willing to relocate.
