Description
Pulp and paper firm ABB will eliminate 67 positions at its manufacturing facilities in Dundalk and Dublin. The quality control positions will be offshored to Shanghai, China. Sales, marketing, engineering, and support departments will continue to employ 41 in Dundalk. ABB currently employs 400 workers at its five locations throughout Ireland. ABB attributed the job cuts to the economic downturn and its effect on the construction and manufacturing industries.
