European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Kemijska industrija Kamnik (KIK), a producer of explosives from Kamnik, has declared bankruptcy and all its 103 workers will lose their jobs. The company has been in a difficult situation for quite some time; unclear ownership situation, outdated technology and high indebtedness have been a combination of factors that led to the bankruptcy. In the last year the situation worsened due to the decrease of orders and payment arrears.
