European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On May 6, 2010 Austrian biomedical firm Greiner Bio-One announced the creation of 100 jobs by the end of the year.
Greiner Bio-One is investing € 60 million in its seven sites world-wide (Austria, Germany, United States, Brasil, Hungary and Thailand) this year. The biggest single investment of € 27 million will be made in the two plants in Kremsmünster and Rainbach/Mühlviertel in Upper Austria where the 100 new recruits are to work.
The family-owned corporation with its headquarters in Kremsmünster in Upper Austria specialises in biotechnology, diagnostic and pharmaceutical industries as well as in medical and in-vitro diagnostics. It currently employs some 1,500 workers worldwide, of which 500 are employed in Austria.
