European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Construction industry manufacturer Caterpillar is to create 300 jobs in Desford, Leicestershire. This increase shows a recovery for the firm that made hundreds redundant due to the detrimental economic climate. The bulk of the new jobs are to be on the manufacturing floor and are due to a rise in orders and the shift of production of a model of digger to that factory from America. No timescale was given for when the posts would be fully recruited.
