European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Land Rover is to create 275 jobs at its manufacturing plant in Solihull with immediate effect. The company states that the increase in staff is required to boost production due to an increase in demand following increased sales; UK figures in March were the highest in the company's 62 year history. This is thought to be due to the recovery of the economy and well received upgrades of existing models last year. Phil Popham, Land Rover's managing director said: "These positions are excellent news for the manufacturing industry in the Midlands."
