European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
America Express Business Travel (Voyages d'Affaiers) is to cut 230 jobs in France with the closure of eleven offices in 2010. The company blamed ongoing "violent" consequences of the economic crisis for the decision, referring to a trend for many businesses to cut travel costs and organise teleconferences. The company suffered a 25% drop in business in 2009 and had already laid off some 400 employees during the crisis (see related factsheet)
