Description
Carmarthenshire Council has announced plans to cut up to 500 jobs over the next three years. Councilors stated that at most 160 jobs would be lost every year over three years with the first cuts taking effect by March 2011. The job losses are part of wider measures to cut costs and it is hoped that most of the redundancies will be implemented through natural wastage and voluntary means.
