European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Rai, the Italian state-owned public service broadcaster, has announced the 2010-2012 industrial plan, which envisages from 750 to 1,000 job cuts. According to the company, the cost-saving programme should contribute to end the 2012 financial year without any loss. For the workers affected by the job cuts, the company should guarantee economic incentives and other measures in order to reduce the negative social effects. Later in June, the company will present the detailed 2010-2012 reorganization plan to the trade unions. Rai has around 11,500 employees.
