European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Jabil Circuit, the American producer of electronic components for TV sets and assembler of finished goods, dismissed 300 workers in its plant in Kwidzyn in late November 2010. The company plans to continue dismissals and eventually around 1500 employees might become unemployed by the end of February 2011, via the non-renewal of temporary contracts.
Jabil has been operating in Poland since 2005 and has 2 plants: in Kwidzy? and Bydgoszcz. In addition, Jabil Circuit also operates in Hungary. See previous fact sheets for Hungary 15751 and for Poland 10827.
