European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Swedwood, part of Swedish furniture retailer IKEA, announced that it will open a new plant in Paços de Ferreira in the summer 2011 and create 200 new jobs. The new jobs will be for both skilled and non-skilled workers. The value of the investment is around 30 million euro; this business expansion is expected to have a positive impact on local employment. Most of new employees are from Paços de Ferreira.
