European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 4 March, manufacturer of aircraft engine covers/housings (nacelles) Aircelle announced its intention to create 100 new jobs in its plant at Gonfreville-l'Orcher (Seine-Maritime) before the end of 2012. The company produces large and small nacelles, thrust reversers and aerostructures, and currently employs 1,450 people at its plant. Aircelle recruited 80 workers between October and December 2010, and is currently recruiting 30 more employees. From October 2010 to December 2012, a total of 180 employees will be recruited in order to meet Airbus orders. The majority of the new recruits will be engineers and technicians. Airbus has selected Aircelle (Safran group) to supply the complete integrated nacelle package for the A320neo Family of aircraft due to be launched in 2016.
