European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Bomi, a delicatessen chain store, announced its plan to cut 700 jobs by the end of June 2011. The company is to start a restructuring programme involving the shutdown of the 10 least profitable units and the implementation of a programme of workforce reduction in the remaining 7 units.
Bomi owns and operates a chain of convenience stores and was founded in 1990. It is one of the largest and most dynamically developing delicatessen chain stores in Poland. Initially, the company operated only in Gdańsk and Gdynia, at present it has 37 stores in 21 cities and it is noted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2007.
