The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Parc Salut Mar has announced the intention to apply for a redundancy procedure affecting 194 employees. Nurses and medical assistants make up the bulk of the staff that will be fired as a result of the adjustment plan after management and works council have not reached an agreement to agree alternatives to the dismissals. The job losses are blamed on cuts to the health budget which are being implemented by the Catalan Government.
Salut Mar Parc is a consortium formed by the regional Government (60%) and the City Council of Barcelona (40%), which includes among others the Hospital del Mar, de l'Esperança, Centre Forum, the Centre and care Pere Camps Emili Mira i López.
