Description

Oil refinery company Arpechim Pitesti announced the intention to dismiss 259 employees by March 2012.

The company notified the local employment agency about the measure, which is motivated by an internal restructuring programme. It is reported that trade union leaders expect the local authorities to intervene to save some jobs.

At present the company has 618 employees.
