European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 7 March, Achard ACH-CNI, specialized in plumbing and heating installation and equipment, has been liquidated and its 93 employees have been dismissed. An additional 30 employees have already left the company since it was placed in receivership. A total of 123 people lost their jobs.
The company is reported to have a good reputation, e.g. 20% of their employees were people with disabilities. However, the company was sold in 2009. According to the press, the new owner had to face huge financial difficulties which negatively impacted Achard ACH-CNI.
