European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
EvoBus, a bus manufacturer in the Daimler AG group, announced the results of its negotiations with the works' council. 630 jobs will be shed at the German manufacturing plants Mannheim and Neu-Ulm. Management and works' council agreed to avoid direct dismissals until the end of 2018. Job cuts are to be realised in a socially acceptable manner.
The plans form part of a restructuring and cost saving programme 'Globe 2013', which partly responds to a decrease in demands of busses. EvoBus employs 8,300 people in Germany.
