Description
ZF Friedrichshafen, Germany-headquartered manufacturer of parts and accessories for motor vehicles, plans to create 4,500 jobs worldwide in 2012.
The firm had already grown its workforce by 12 per cent in 2011 compared to 2010, having seen high growth rates in North America, Eastern Europe and South America. This was partly due to acquisitions.
Although the firm's chief executive officer Hans-Georg Haerter has said that the economic indicators are not unambiguous, the ZF Friedrichshafen still expects to gain market share and grow its sales. It plans to invest around 1.4 billion Euros in 2012, contributing to the employment expansion.
