Description
On 11 April 2012, business process outsourcing and consultancy company CSC Denmark announced the intention to reduce its workforce by 450 due to an internal reorganisation. It is not yet clear where the cuts will fall, but it is expected that the majority will be in Denmark, with cuts made also in other Nordic countries.
No specific group of employees will be targeted. CSC recently transferred more than 300 employees to its competitor Tata TCS - these positions will be saved and thus are not counted in this latest figure of 450 job losses.
It is reported that efforts will be made to ensure that most cuts will be done through voluntary departures and natural attrition.
Negotiation are planned to take place within the next months. Trade unions and staff members will be involved in the discussions.
