The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
ISS Facility Services in Denmark will lay off 157 cleaning operatives with effect from June 2012. This restructuring is attributed to the fact that ISS will stop applying for contracts to clean official state buildings.
According to ISS, the profit for such contracts has decreased sharply, so that it is not possible to pay a wage in accordance with the collective agreement in the sector. The consequence is that 157 employees will be made redundant in different state institutions. The union of cleaners 3F also expressed criticism concerning the low value of state contracts.
There are 10,000 employees in ISS Facility Services in Denmark.
