European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
In May 2012, a Polish producer of meat PMB announced plans to cut 200 jobs in its unit in Białystok.
Currently, the conditions of the dismissals are being negotiated with the local trade unions. Redundancies are expected to be carried out in June and July 2012.
Apart from the dismissals programme, the company is to implement the early retirement programme covering about 50 employees.
PMB has reported financial problems since 2011. The company considers filing for bankruptcy.
