European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Swedwood Älmhult AB, Swedwood's kitchen cabinet manufacturer, has announced that it is to cut 70 jobs in Älmhult, Sweden.
Swedwood Älmhult AB has approximately 324 employees, and the reduction will affect every fifth employee. The cuts will be effective once the four-month period for redundancy procedures is over.
The downsizing is undertaken to meet reduced demand for the company's products.
Tibro Swedwood AB is a subsidiary of Swedwood International AB, which has approximately 16 400 employees in ten countries and forms a part of Ikea Industry Group.
