European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 10 September, the commercial court of Quimper has agreed a partial take-over of the poultry farming group Doux (4195 employees in France, 9800 in the world) that was liquidated on the 1st August.
With its decision, the court saves 753 positions. 883 permanent employees and 100 employees with short-term employment contract will be dismissed.
The cold divisions employed about 1736 employees. In details, the company Galina will take over the site of Pleucadeuc (Morbihan) with 135 on the 407 employees. The company LDC takes over the site of Sérent (Morbihan) and will keep 60 employees from a total of 177, and the site of Laval (Mayenne) with its 303 employees. Glon Sanders and Duc take over the site of Boynes (Loiret) and will keep 95 employees from a total of 170. They also buy the two smallest sites in Amilly (Loiret) and Clémont (Cher) with about 30 employees. Finally, Glon Sanders takes over the plant of Blancafort (Cher) and will keep 130 from a total of 243 employees. Three sites haven’t found any buyer and will be closed: Graincourt (Pas-de-Calais), La Vraie-Croix (Morbihan) and Le Pontet (Vaucluse).
