European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Dutch semiconductor machinery manufacturer Besi will cut its staff levels by 13 percent, making around 220 people redundant. Most of the job losses (55%) will be attained by a reduction of temporary personnel in Europe and Asia. In Europe the company will also lay off contract workers.
It is reported that during the third quarter of 2012, Besi faced a decline of 46.5 percent in its orders, compared to the previous quarter.
