Description
All 450 jobs at Thermphos, the only remaining producer of phosphor in Europe, will be lost due to bankruptcy. While the bankruptcy had been declared in November 2012, it became clear now that no buyer could be found.
It is reported that reasons of the bankruptcy are the large increase in phosphor imports from Kazakhstan and concerns about the environmental impact of the plant.
