Aprilia, an Italian motorcycle manufacturer, is to cut 136 jobs in its plants located in Scorzé and Noale, in the province of Venice.
At the beginning of January, the company announced a reorganisation plan with 195 jobcuts. After the first round of negociations, the company and the trade unions reached an agreement on the restructuring. The plan includes 136 job cuts with economic incentives for voluntary departures and the renewal of the “solidarity agreement”. The workers' assembly is expected to approve the agreement by referendum in the following days.
Aprilia belongs to Piaggio Group and it employs approximately 720 people in Italy.
