The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Telenor in Denmark, a subsidiary of the Norway-based telecommunications group, is to reduce its workforce by 288 people. As announced the new strategy plan includes 138 job cuts (38 of them will be outsourced) and 150 job losses through natural attrition. Additionally, the company is to create 50 new jobs for the implementation of its new strategy. All together a savings plan as part of a new strategy will reduce the number of employed by 13% at the end of 2013. For previous restructuring events please see Telenor- DK2010 and Telenor- DK2009.
