Description
IT service provider Tieto has announced up to 180 redundancies in Finland. The company has initiated negotiations with employee representatives on the cuts.
Tieto has approximately 5,300 employees in Finland. The proposed redundancies will affect consultation and systems integration businesses, which have approximately 1,750 employees.
In 2012 Tieto combined those operations and now reports that its capacity in those areas exceeds market demands. In 2012, Tieto also cut 500 jobs (Tieto-2012).
