European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 12 June 2013, the director of the Region health agency has announced to the employees of the public hospital of Montluçon (Allier) a restructuring plan that will affect 120 positions. The management will progressively cut 120 up to 130 positions by June 2015 by means of retirement (about 100 people) and voluntary departures. The general inspection of social affairs (Inspection générale des affaires sociales – IGAS) has strongly criticized the management of this hospital that has a deficit budget of about 32 million euro (7,3 million only for 2012). On the basis of its report, a huge reorganization was decided and will affect all services.
