Description
Irish-owned retail chain group Musgrave has announced 102 redundancies at the Superquinn head office in Lucan, Dublin, phased over the next 18 months.
Musgrave announced that the redundancies are part of a restructuring strategy that will involve rebranding of all 24 Superquinn stores under the SuperValu name. It is understood that the redundancies will most likely affect the HR, finance and marketing functions in Superquinn head office. According to the group’s Chief Executive the planned redundancies will be on a compulsory and voluntary basis.
The renaming of existing Superquinn stores to that of SuperValu, will occur from February 2014.
