European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Danish based multinational energy distribution company Dong Energy is to cut 350 to 400 jobs.
The restructuring is announced to result from changing market conditions. Earlier this year, this had already led the company to dismiss 324 staff in Denmark.
The company employs about 7,000 staff worldwide.
Update 12-09-2013: After negotiations with worker representatives, the management announced 200 immidiate dismissals that are part of a total of 350 job cuts.
