Description

Newlat, one of the leading Italian producers in the dairy sector, is to cut 143 jobs (out of 232) in its plants located in Lodi and Reggio Emilia. The job cuts procedures should start at the end of January 2014, when the Wage Guarantee Fund (WGF) scheme will be over.

The trade unions have required the involvement of the Italian Ministry of Economic Activities in order to find solutions aimed at reducing the job losses.
