Description
Haticon, manufacturer of photovoltaic systems, is to cut 125 jobs in Germany. This will affect the sales department in Guterfelde (9 of 49 positions cut) and the production site in Pinnow (116 of 261).
The measure is reported to be due to a drop in demand in the wake of the decreasing promotion of renewable energies.
The company agreed on a social plan with worker representatives. 93 employees will be given notice, 32 agreed to terminate their contracts in exchange for redundancy payments and other benefits.
In total, Haticon employed 310 staff at the two sites so far.
