European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Shipping company TT Line has given notice to 70 of its 344 staff in Trelleborg. This followed the restructuring announcement in September this year.
The measure was taken after the German parent company terminated the staffing agreement for the ferry Nils Dacke due to decreased profitability.
The trade union Seko Sjofolk critizises the measure and the way it has been implemented, as the dismissals were announced after the central negotiations had ended. The union considers to take the case to the Labour Court.
