European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Tompla, specialized in the manufacture of envelopes, will implement a labour adjustment plan (ERE), making 132 employees redundant. This amounts to 23% of the company’s workforce. The measure is due to economic reasons.
The company offers a severance pay equal to 20 daily rates per year worked up to a maximum of 20 months. The unions have rejected the proposal.
From 2009 to 2013, 139 workers were dismissed at Tompla.
