European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Russian producer of primary aluminium Kubal announced to cut 60 positions at its site in Sundsvall.
This is part of an adaption to an international crisis in the aluminium industry, requiring Kubal to close 120 of its 300 smelters. According to the company, there is no full closure of the site planned. However, another 100 jobs might be cut at the same plant by the end of September, if no alternative solution to the crisis is found.
In 2008, the ERM reported on previous internal restructuring at Kubal.
