Description
In February 2018, the Dutch biscuits manufacturer Vegter was declared bankrupt, and its assets were sold to two companies. More specifically, the Dutch Hollandia Matzes bought the business of seasonal products (waffle rolls and squeezes only sold in the Netherland) while the Spanish Dicarcono acquired the remaining product lines which are addressed to foreign markets. Dicarcono is a biscuits manufacturer that already operates in Spain, Italy, France and England. After the acquisition, the Spanish company decided to move former Vegter production activities to Spain creating around 20 new jobs in its plant in Alicante.
