Description
Yorkshire-based UK supermarket chain Morrisons has announced that it is to cut 100 jobs at its regional distribution centre in Wakefield which employs 1700 people. The reductions are intended to reduce costs and improve efficiency. The company has announced that it has started the process of consultation with employees and unions and is looking at ways of minimising the numbers of compulsory redundancies including redeploying people to different parts of the business.
