The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Dutch transport company, Goes Transport, has announced that it will cut all 200 jobs in De Meern after it was declared bankrupt. According to the source, the receiver hopes that parts of the firm can be saved with a restart. The source reports that the job cuts are a result of the loss of a major Italian customer Ciccolella. The company is comprised of different business units, including Goes International Transport, National Transport Goes, Goes Antwerp, brothers Vijn, Body Goes, Goes Top Transport and Logistics, and Handling Centre.
